38" Roan Antelope Horn Shofar

Native to central and western Africa, the Roan Antelope is one of the largest species of antelope in the world. Its horns are rivaled in size only by the largest of the Giant Kudus and Elands and are thus valued highly by shofar makers. Roan Antelope shofarot are extremely rare and often limited in size due to their extensive curve. Here at Exotic Shofars, we have developed a new technique allowing us to drill round this curve without having to bend or shape the horn with heat and without compromising on sound. As such, this truly unique shofar is one of the largest we have ever come across and certainly the largest Roan Antelope shofar we have ever seen. The horn measures 64cm/25" tip to tip, 95cm/37.5" along the curve and has three wonderfully rich tones. Another horn like this will be hard to come by again, so make the most of it while its still avaliable!
As will all are Shofarot, this shofar is hand made and finished with a natural vegetable oil coating. We take care to boil all our horns before production to ensure they are fully sterile and take every precaution to make sure they are 100% kosher.
Our signature natural finish retains the beauty of the horn while keeping it still somewhat smooth to the touch. Unlike other, mirror polished shofarot, you can see the grain, the imperfections, the ridges and valleys on every one of our shofarot.
All our shofarot make perfects gitfts, be they wedding presents, bar/batmitzvah presents or any other special occasion.
